Jairus Cook was a Vallejo, California native and an accomplished barber with over 20 years of experience. His journey began at Hinton Barber College in Vallejo, where he honed his skills and graduated in February 2014. Jairus was passionate about his craft, continuously learning new techniques and pushing himself to be the best barber he could be. Jairus joined the talented team at The Double Edged Experience in April 2014, where he not only developed his craft but also his character. His clients were more than just clients, they were family to him. He took immense pride in every service he rendered and strove to put a smile on each and every one of his clients' faces.

Unfortunately, Jairus passed away on May 1, 2021, due to a health condition. He was a very loving and caring person who touched the lives of many in the community. In honor of his legacy, a scholarship will be established in his name called "The Jairus M Cook Memorial Scholarship." This scholarship will pay the full tuition of a barber or cosmetologist every year, and it will continue to inspire and support future barbers and cosmetologists to follow in Jairus footsteps.
